A delicate china mug featuring an illustrated image of the iconic frontage of York Mansion House, and on the reverse, the words ‘A neat and convenient building and grand enough‘ are written above the York city crest. The words and the engraved image are taken from Francis Drake’s Eboracum published in 1736.
