Natural History Ruler

£2.00

The Natural History Ruler is made from wood and measures 30cm long (made from FSC Certified Wood). On the reverse, it shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/8 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 5 millimetres.

The front of the ruler shows the time that the major groups of animals and plants first appeared on Earth from single celled forms and bacteria through to molluscs, fish, plants, insects, reptiles, dinosaurs, mammals and finally to Man. There is a timeline at the top running from 3000 million years ago to 50 million years ago and there are also silhouettes of each significant animal or plant.
