This greetings card features diarist Anne Lister.
Anne was a wealthy landowner in the early 19th century. She inherited her family home of Shibden Hall in Yorkshire, which allowed her to become an independent businesswoman. She was famous for wearing all-black outfits and behaving in a traditionally ‘masculine’ manner, rejecting feminine behaviours and fashions.
Anne kept diaries from being a teenager, which she wrote in a code which she devised herself. Long after her death in 1840, historian and writer Helena Whitbread managed to decode the diary, which revealed Anne’s romantic and sexual relationships with other women.
Anne’s life, as revealed through her diaries, has recently provided the inspiration for the BBC television series, Gentleman Jack.
This purple card features an illustration of Anne Lister and the quote ‘I am like no-one in the whole world’, which is taken from her diary.
The card is printed on 350gsm high quality board and comes with a white envelope. The inside of the card is blank for you to write your own message.

Shipping policy
Shipping will be made to the address supplied by you on the completed order form. We can only ship to the United kingdom.
We will endeavour to deliver to within seven (7) Working Days (i.e. Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and UK public holidays) after you place your order;
Any delivery dates provided by us will be estimates only and you will not be entitled to refuse to accept late delivery or treat late delivery as a breach of contract by us.
Please Note: Due to the changes in legislation on the back of the UK leaving the EU. Customers ordering from the EU are now liable to pay any customs or VAT charges and a handling fee before the parcel can be collected. The price of this does depend on the country and value of the parcel.
We will not deliver to a post office box (PO Box) address. We also reserve the right not to deliver to a communal post office address.
The address supplied by you must have a valid postcode. If no-one is at the address when delivery is attempted the goods may be retained by the driver, in which case the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery. If we have to return to deliver the goods on a separate occasion a further delivery charge may become payable. All goods will usually be delivered by Royal Mail. However, on occasion we may use a different provider to get the best value.
Refund policy
Refunds accepted within 14 days but buyer is responsible for return postage cost. We will only refund to the card used for the original postage.
